What Will We Do With What Is Left
Three Channel FIlm, 25:00, Digital, Colour, 2016
Existing somewhere between documentary, ethnographic study and personal reflection What Will We Do With What is Left explores representations of Palestine through the prism of Jenin Refugee Camp in the Occupied Territories of Palestine.
The work focuses in part on the physical act of documentation; does it have the potential to distort the intention of the subject or does a new explicable truth surface? What materials are selected and why? What is to be made of what is unused?
Using unique material filmed in Jenin since 2011, this multi screen installation is a work in progress is supported by Arts Council of Wales and Chapter Arts Centre.
Made in collaboration with video artist and documentary film maker Simon Clode.
